Global Local

Curated by the British Council, Global Local looks at the impact of globalization on contemporary Indian design. The show traveled across India and to the Victoria & Albert Museum, London. tsk Design was commissioned to create the identity, catalogue and space design. In addition, we were was amongst the 14 designers chosen to exhibit in the show.

A hybrid design aesthetic is reflected through Curry, a custom designed typeface which combines influences from Devanagiri (an Indian script) with Uncial (a Latin script). In the catalogue, Curry juxtaposes and replaces modern san serif letterforms to mimic the dynamics of cultural exchange in design.
